Gunmen Attack Students Hostel, Shoot A Student
Gunmen attacked a 165 Lodge located at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo front gate. The attack resulted in serious injury to a 200 Level student of the university’s department of electrical engineering, simply identified as Charles. Orient Gist gathered that the injury led to the loss of blood by Charles and that he was transferred to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi state capital for medical attention. According to Gozie Ifeanyi, an eyewitness, “the incident is not the first time AE-FUNAI students are being attacked by gunmen. “Just last week, an armed robber was apprehended by some students after he missed his shot on a student. The students gave him the beating of his life before handing him over to the security personnel”.
